History

More Than 73 Years of Service

Founded in 1951 by Bill Miller, Bill's Heating has been providing Elkhart County residents with high-quality HVAC sales and services for more than 73 years. Working out of his home garage at first, Bill quickly established a reputation for installing quality products at a fair price. In 1974, he moved the business to a larger facility, which featured increased office space, as well as a warehouse and showroom to accommodate the needs of his growing customer base. The company continued a pattern of consistent growth, and in 1995 the office was moved to its current location in Goshen's Linway Plaza.

In the years since Bill founded the company, three of his four sons have worked for the business in various capacities. In 1984, the two oldest sons, Doug and Gregg Miller purchased the company when Bill decided to slow down and spend more time with his family.

In 2007, Bill’s grandson Scott Miller became the company’s third-generation owner. A licensed HVAC contractor since 1995, Scott preserves and honors Bill's no-nonsense approach to providing customers with quality, affordable equipment along with the respect and appreciation they deserve. Our technicians are not trained to sell, they are trained to give our customers the best economical solution for their plumbing, heating, and cooling needs.

On November 1, 2019, Bill's Heating purchased Goshen Plumbing and Heating, expanding into full-service plumbing. And, on March 1, 2024, Bill’s Heating purchased Quine Freeman Heating, Cooling and Refrigeration in Warsaw, Indiana.

Now, with two locations, and an expansion into Commercial Refrigeration, Bill’s is able to better serve the needs of our customers throughout North-Central Indiana.
